Sadly, the original AOLer translator hosted on Homestead went down sometime in 2012 between March 1 and 6. Rather than let this wonderful artifact of the early web die, I rescued it using the latest archived copy of the page. (I also tidied up the JavaScript a bit because it was a mess.)

UPDATE 6/15/2005: I have no idea how it happened, but this site appears to have become somewhat of a phenomenon on the internet. As such, I’ve added a copyright notice at the bottom that includes contact information. Thanks to everyone who has enjoyed my creation!

This translator will take what you write in it and turn it into the manner a 12-year-old AOLer would write it. Type in what you want translated and then click the button.

The English-to-12-Year-Old-AOLer Translator is copyright © 2000-2006 Lucas Longley. Please don’t blatantly steal it, even though I know of several sites that already have.
